Rhubarb crowns for 15$
Rhubarb is a great perennial food source and also is a beautiful plant aesthetically with its huge leaves and bright red stalks. Rhubarb has lovely sour tasting stalks that can be dipped in sugar, or stewed and added to pies, ice cream, or whatever you’d like. At Northern Food Forest nursery, we love planting them beneath fruit trees because they can handle quite a bit of shade and also add a beautiful layer to the understory.
We sell rhubarb crowns. They do best planted in rich garden soil and also take well to an addition of mulch around them to deter weeds.
